I've been buying Asics for about fifteen years now and have never had an issue, until now. This particular model sneaker I owned in 2019 and never thought I'd be able to find it again. But, sure enough, I did, here on Amazon. Well, I must have received a bad batch because the left sneaker, rear section that houses the heel seems to rub against my lower outside heel. Nothing occurs for the first fifteen minutes or so, but after the feet begin moving and rubbing inside the sneaker, then my foot rubs this inside portion where it seems to be the outside synthetic piece. It must be an internal structural defect. I've never has any issues before with this brand of sneaker.This has become a significant issue as I rely on these for walking and running. I'm particularly disappointed because like I mentioned, the first problem I have ever had. Unfortunately, I can't return these since I've worn them now. And now, I had to purchase another pair of sneakers. Going back to a sneaker that's more suitable for my flat and narrow feet. Every time I've worn these Asics, after each walk, the skin on my left heel is rubbed raw. Imagine having to walk home five miles with that rubbing against your skin on an eighty-degree day.Choose carefully people. Seems that not everything appears to be the same. Looks are deceiving. This may in fact be one of the reasons why Asics seems to have lost some business compared to other brands like Saucony or New Balance.Aside from this structural issue, which you never know is going to be a problem until your heel is rubbed bare, pretty much the sneaker is spot on for everything else.
