The Versablast is another one of Asics lightweight running shoes that doubles as a good speed shoe or distance option.Because the sole provides ample cushion when striking the ground with any part of your foot, heel strikers and ball strikers will both find it to be well-designed and comfortable for medium to long distances (my longest run in these was 15 miles). I put nearly 400 miles on these shoes before I retired them, but I will say that around mile 300 I found that the sole had compressed to the point that it was not nearly as bouncy or comfortable as when they were new---so I probably should have retired them significantly earlier, but for the sake of consistency when evaluating my shoes I wanted to control the distance.The upper is lightweight and mostly mesh. When tightening the laces, I didn't notice any "tight spots" around my foot; on some brands and models, the way the shoe is designed puts pressure on my foot in certain places where the laces get tight---these shoes didn't have anything like that. The toebox dried very quickly, which kept the shoe's weight down as miles increased, and I liked the fact that the shoe didn't soak up and retian sweat.Overall, the shoes were versatile enough for long runs or short sprints. Lo solucioné apretando los cordones y usando los últimos ojales.Fabric over toe on left wore out after a month of wear. Never had that problem with any shoe of any brand I have bought in the past. If you like I will ship them back and you can examine the fabric.
