Durable, heavily padded cupsole skate style. The Scribe skate shoe from Globe offers full support when you're boarding, but casual good looks that will keep them the perfect everyday choice, too. Thickly padded linings keep you feeling good, and its sturdy lace-up front and grippy rubber outsole will keep you in control. At Globe we have a healthy disrespect for the established way of doing things, and we embrace new ways of looking at the world. For us, it's always a time for change. In this day and age we've adopted a KNOW HOPE philosophy, whereby we are looking at the future with wide eyes - truly taking every opportunity to be creative. Our team riders, who happen to be some of the best in the world, are a party to the products we make, but we also listen to the kids we make product for and are constantly evolving with them, so we don't lose our edge. It's what keeps us inspired, progressive and able to stay fresh when so many around us are pushing the same-old sameness. See more
It's not bad ... so far 4 skate sess in and shows a Lil wear not really to noticeable yet on the nose of course laces would have still gave if not for lil hot glue for protection. My main issue is the tongue this thing is driving me bananas I thought it was like my last few pairs where the tongue and shoe are one piece kinda like a slipper. It's not, no big deal but this thing continues to get push down into my shoe like an inch or so creating space and a loose feeling. There is no outlet in he middle of the tongue to prevent it from slipping. Some people may not really care but drive me crazy having to untie pull tongue retie after every damn run ? if I could I would exchange them and just pay 20 bucks more for the slip ons they protect your ankles slot more too less likely to roll it.My man only wears the ones without the tongue, and this one has a tongue. Otherwise, great shoe! This review is for the Globe Scribe shoes. I have been buying Globe shoes for a long time. My favorites are the Sabres and the Fusions. I usually go back and forth between the two every time a new color is released. They are a bit more pricey though. These are a bit different in a few ways. They do not include the same "built in sock" as the Fusions and the Sabres do. Instead they include tongue straps. Which is fine by me, just wanted to clarify since the top reviewer referred to them as "ankle huggers" which they are not. I purchased the red/grey/black pair. They are good looking shoes, especially in the photos. What you don't see, until you put them on, is the narrow look to them when looking down at them when wearing them. Not a deal breaker for me, but I prefer the fatter look like the Sabres and Fusions have. These shoes are nicely put together and have the same bottom tread as the more expensive styles. One of the main reasons I decided to get these shoes was the price point. Sabres and Fusions average around $70-110 depending where and when you get them. I picked these up for about half that. Saved so much I bought my girl a pair of Globe shoes too. Had I known they carried the blue and black ones when I got these I probably would have gotten them instead. They are the nicest looking ones available in my opinion. In comparison to the Sabres and Fusions, these run a little bigger. Not by much, and probably more noticeable since they don't include the "built in sock." they feel a little loose when walking in them, mostly because I'm used to the "ankle huggers" I think. If you are a Globe fan, you will most likely like these shoes too. Even if you're new to Globe shoes, these are one of the more affordable pairs they offer and you can't go wrong with them. Well I hope this review helped clarify or answer some questions anyone considering purchasing them might have. If you found this review helpful please click that option below. Thanks. DustinPoorSuper cushy ankle support, really fat, padded tounge. Grippy soles. Great shoes!!!The first time i tried these shoes on I wasn’t wearing long pants and I tripped over my junk. I took three brawds to make it better. So remember these shoes may feel heavenly but angel dust will make you forget to wear pants.I really like these shoes. The stitching appears to be good. The soles look sturdy which is great since those are always the first to go with these types of shoes. I haven't walked around in the rain but these shoes seem to do very well in the snow. The shoe is just a hair too long and a little narrow for my personal taste. The latter I'll get used to but I need to tighten the shoes more to see if that helps with my feet sliding forward in the toe area. The height of the shoe is perfect and everything else is very comfortable. I don;t have issues with the lace holders inside and these shoes have reinforced lacing holes.I picked Globe because they came highly recommended to me from others that love skater shoes. I don't skate but these are the only type of shoes that I will wear and unfortunately this style is not popular right now. My Vans of 8 years finally retired and my DC's of this style only lasted me 3 months so I wanted QUALITY. So far, I am very pleasedI call these shoes "ankle huggers" because that is what they do. These are the most comfortable shoes you will ever wear. I have a pair my boyfriend bought me for Valentine's Day (ya, Best Boyfriend EVER) last year and he just kept commenting on how comfy they looked. So I got him this pair. When I got mine I had to go a 1/2 size larger than usual. So that is what I got him. VOILA! Perfect fit. I wore mine to work everyday and my feet never hurt. I have actual work shoes now but for about 7 months I wore these to work. That is how comfy these sweet looking feet huggers are. Don't blink at the price because these beauties will last forever and your feet will love them as much as your eyes will. Even though they are technically slip ons they still have laces and give the appearance of a "normal" shoe but there is nothing normal about these. Best shoes I have owned and I am getting another pair in a couple months also.I'm not a skateboarder, but I like wearing skate shoes. Theyre somewhat wider than most other shoes so my pant legs don't drag down under my heels when I walk.. And I like the way they look. This is a beautiful shoe, I love the design, and the feel. The foot bed lining is very cushiony and comfortable. If the soles don't wear out on these shoes like some of the other brands Ive bought in the past, I will most definitely be buying more of these in the future. I'm on my feet all day, so, this is a big problem for me. I will give another review on that when the time comes. The only thing: I found they run a half size too small. I ordered a size ten, next time I will order a ten and a half.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~.. So, After about one year, after everyday wear, I finally wore holes through the bottoms. Not too bad.Unfortunately, trying to find these in stock is difficult, but I would definitely buy again. Not as great a quality as the other Globe shoes I have bought in the past. The soles feel really thin and they are not bouncy or comfortable like previous kicks I have worn. I am unsure if these are authentic. Colors came as shown in the picture. Also has some weird black hairs... maybe dog? inside the shoes that I had to clean out.Tenia mucho tiempo buscando un calzado de este tipo,Hubo problemas con la aduana de mexico por cuestiones de la importación, pero creo que eso es problema de la paqueteríaSin embargo y a pesar de que se tardó en llegar, el calzado está excelente!Bought for my son for Christmas. He says the shoe is a little big on his foot even with it tied up tight. But other then that he really likes them. They do look like a decent shoe.Súper calidad y desempeño a precio completamente aceptable! Los materiales son resistentes y de alta calidad, recomendable para patinar sin duda!
