These shoes are more durable than the Converse Chucks and mesh or think canvas top shoes. The soles will wear from normal use but shoes look great and will last the standard school year, when other similar priced shoes have to be replaced after 6months is worth it. The padded tongue helps support against some injury from bike pedals/pegs and a skateboard falling on top of foot. Great designed shoe.
