This is the most comfortable shoe I've had for walking, and I do a lot of that in my travels. I got the all-black ones which I can also use for semi-formal wear on cruise ships and other places. But I cannot express how great these are for comfort and fit. My only issue is they trend to run just a tad small, so I would order the next size up, like get a 9/12 instead of a 9.Used for long runningThey run a little smallThe shoe got damaged pretty easy. I used it for just jogging but it didn’t last long.i received what I expectedIn the spirit of full disclosure, I've never owned running shoes before these, but I love them. I took up running during the Coronavirus lockdown (with a mask, be safe y'all), and they seem like everything that I, as a non-runner, hoped that good running shoes would be:1. They're shockingly light, to the point that for a half-second I was worried I'd been sent an empty box. Apart from the cushioning, it feels like I'm not wearing shoes at all, weight-wise.2. Speaking of cushioning, it is excellent. I like that it doesn't feel spongy or overly soft; I was hoping for protection from jarring impacts, not feeling like I was running on a waterbed, and I can definitely still feel the road/trail through the soles, which is a plus for me personally.3. The lining is maybe my favorite part. the designers/manufacturers did a great job of avoiding any friction on seams and so forth inside the shoe, so I haven't developed any blisters or sore skin spots, which I was concerned about.4. They're also just nice-looking shoes that don't scream LOOK AT ME IM A RUNNER R U? I wish I'd opted for the plaid-patterned ones, but the grey/black ones don't look out of place with normal, casual clothes. All in all, with no frame of reference whatsoever, these seem like fantastic running shoes.I like the colors and the design of the shoesTrying to get back into running after 50 can be really discouraging. I'm fighting an old big toe injury that messes up my right leg and there's just the extra weight, worn out knees, and everything that goes with not running much for 30 years. I realized I had to get more serious about the shoes I was using. Reading reviews and articles, the Ghost seemed to fit the bill for what I need. I have reasonably pronounced arches so I thought I'd try the neutral support with a lot of shock absorption and, holy smokes, is it making a difference. As it was, I needed days to recover every time I ran. Now I feel good the next day and I'm starting to feel the benefits of running in all my other activities. Starting with just getting out of bed in the morning.I had some trouble figuring out what size I needed. It wound up being a half size larger than what I used to wear and in the wide fit. This was really important as the regular width hurt the foot with the bum toe. It was worth the effort going through a couple of sizes to find the right one. I'm not sure I would have kept running without these. Now I'm psyched when it's running day.The cushioning is fantastic. I also like the reinforced patch in that spot where the big toe often pokes through the material ruining a lot of my trainers. The only issue I have is that they run rather narrow at the midfoot. The toe box is plenty wide enough, as is the heel area. What's unusual is the huge difference between the width of the toe box and the width of the midfoot area.I bought the regular width ones a size larger than my usual dress shoe size. So lengthwise I have plenty of space, which makes it all the more surprsing how narrow they are in the middle. I'm still keeping them but it's not 100% comfortable.I bought the Brooks product as a recommendation by my brother. He recommended these as we both have a high arched foot and that these would provide additional support. I'm delighted to say that he wasn't wrong. As someone who would have lived and died by Asics , these Ghost 12 are a sturdy well fitting running shoe. I'm a size 10 UK and ordered size 10 UK and they fit perfect. I normally run routes anywhere between 6.5k -10 k on hilly country roads and these Brooks Ghost 12 absolutely eat them up for breakfast. The only small fault I could find with them is that they are a small bit heavier and slighly more cumbersome than a lighter asics training shoe , however as I said for rougher ,hillier roads - they give great support and grip. I suppose what I'm saying is that it's horses for courses !!!Price wise they are probably 20 quid more expensive than what I would normally spen/expect for a good running show but so far so good and worth every extra penny .Would definitely recommend. These shoes have lasted around 1000km, which is about right according to Brooks - The seam has just split on the outer edge of both shoes and sadly, they are off in the bin.Bought these for long distance work as reviews were decent. Performed pretty well cross country and not a bad shoe, can’t really fault it. Comfort started to wear off in longer runs towards the end.Not exactly “must buy again” material. I’d probably recommend something a bit more techy. I feel like a decent pair of shoes adds a level of psyche as you put them on and even as far as psyche from the feedback each foot strike. However, I can only describe this shoe as having a beige personality.Brooks are so comfortable even if you aren't running in them. Fit so well, dont sweat my feet, I can wear black ones in place of shoes for work and I can wear them all day every dayFirst of all. This shoe is really comfortable for either walking or running. I'm an amateur runner and I tried the ultraboost 20 and pegasus 36 but the ghost 12 is my favourite. However, the excess tongue above my midfoot was really poorly glued and its hanging down rubbing against my foot causing irritation.Initially I loved this shoe but now I loathe it, sadly I used my shoe outside before I noticed this problem so now I can not return it.
