I'm relatively new to running and this was my first pair of expensive shoes and also trying Brooks. I found the cushioning was amazing, like I didn't realize shoes could actually feel that good where the road doesn't feel as hard. But what comes along with that is that they feel heavy to me and the soles are wide. I literally felt like I was wearing clown shoes on my first couple runs. Took some getting used to but the cushioning, support and overall feel is so amazing that I stuck with them and they are now worked into my regular running schedule. I just don't like running on them every day when I can get away with a lighter pair for a longer run or on a trail where the hard ground isn't as big a deal. So these are essentially my road running shoes. I find they also heat up my feet on a longer run, especially if I'm on concrete a lot. It's not terrible but definitely noticeable. I will definitely give Brooks another try on my next pair but probably try a different style to see if I can get something not so heavy.
