If you have wide feet, this is a good shoe. I've destroyed countless of shoes but these are made specifically for skateboarders. I don't but i do destroy shoes as i walk. DC's are the best and I can get the sole to the bare minimum before anything on the shoe breaks. These have thick bottoms and the cushion feels nice. It has this weird impact thing but also orthopedic cushions. It would feel amazing for a skateboarder or scooter person to wear them as they have fun. The tab is elastic, so you wont see it going anywhere. I'm personally buying elastic ties so that they can become slip ons since the tab wont let my feet go flying when i had them untied. Really good shoes!
