Propet Men's Gino Casual Walking Shoes - Comfortable Slip-On Loafers for Daily Wear, Work & Travel - Breathable & Lightweight Design for All-Day Comfort

This is my second shoe from Propet. The heel cup is stabilizing, and the slip last will accommodate orthotics. My initial reaction to the fit was the shoe doesn't have a very broad base of support, which I still feel is true, but it has molded to my foot over time. Sized up 1/2 size and the fit is good, possibly could have gone up a full size. The cushioning is shock absorbing and I can tell there is some rubber mixed with the EVA outsole, making it durable. I do a lot of walking now on my job, and feel this shoe would outperform most. Its just not the broadest cut/shape. Fifth eyelet is large enough to allow for parallel lacing, all the way up.These shoes were a complete surprise. I tried them on and they felt too tight. But, I walked around on the carpet for a few minutes and they suddenly started to feel really comfortable - like a glove. I've never had that experience with shoe purchases before. Shoes don't seem to adapt. I still had to return an earlier pair that WERE too tight. But these exchanged ones were in that, "Let's wait and see space." I'm on my feet all day, every day. These are very comfortable.The down side - also surprising, but significant - are the shoe strings! As good as the structure of the shoes are, the strings come undone all day long. At least twice a day I have to tie them, despite pulling them intentionally very tight. How is it that Propet can get so much so right and get the strings wrong? The strings, though, are the biggest single detractor from purchasing these shoes. Would they stop me from buying them? No, because I have to have comfortable, stable shoes. Still, it is a big annoyance.It is what you would expect for the price, just okay. Also, they do not breathe. My feet started sweating in the middle of winter at work when I was just walking around.Great quality and goodThey're alright. I am food service manager and am on the floor all day. I am very picky about comfort and style and these work great!I weigh 300 plus pounds and find it hard to find a shoe that will stand up to that and the daily wear of a postal worker. This shoe is still going strong and I am looking to buy other styles to add to my closet. If I were to have any complaint it would have to be that the shoe strings did not last.Bought these for my husband who has a very wide foot. He wears them for work as an electronic tech. On his feet all day long. He told me they fit well and are comfortable.
