These shoes are a cross between a skater shoe and a casual sneaker. Literally, every time I wear them, someone compliments me on them. The only reason I give them 4 stars and not 5 is after I wear them for a while, the soles of my feet are little sore. There is not much arch support, but I didn't buy these to be doing any strenuous activities. I still wear them a lot and the canvas material is very strong and durable. I would recommend to a friend but would warn about the lack of arch support.
