They are comfortable shoes, in that they feel like they are holding your feet tight, side to side and up and down, they feel substantial, you get that "locked in" feeling, but front to back they feel a little small, like 11 3/4 (lol). I actually really like the way they feel, (I like that "locked in" feeling), and even for a heritage style skate shoe, I can achieve that with out having to tie them extra tight.They good ,looked use as far as the box goes but other than that ,fit greatShoes fit well and are comfortable but I've had them for about 8 months and the threads are starting to come out near the front by the pinky toe on both sides. :( I don't skate in them but just use them for warehouse work. Don't feel like I got my moneys worth out of them at this point.I usually wear Etnies and DC shoes but I saw these and liked how they looked so decided to get em. They're pretty comfortable. They do have a lot of padding and a narrow toe box so at first I thought I should have ordered a half a size up, I usually wear 10.5 but 11 in some brands, but after a couple of days of wear the foam in the back wore down and they fit perfect now.
