I got these for my boyfriend who is extremely athletic - especially riding bmx bikes & skateboards. HE LOVES THEMI really wanted to like this shoe. The yellow detailing on the color I bought was really nice looking. The ankle was also really nice and cushy while being supportive Unfortunately this was the first Globe shoe I've bought that I ended up sending back.I have wide hobbit feet, which would normally be a size 12 4E. In Globe I wear a size 13 in comfort, but this particular style is not as wide as other Globe shoes and pinches my toes together.These would be solid if you've got a normal width foot.The shoes are nice. There are a couple imperfections. The size is off. I should have gone a size up but they are snug, hoping once broken in will be more comfy. The front patch logo on the tongue of the right shoe was cut poorly at the bottom compared to perfect on the left but once laced is wasn't too noticeable. The logos on the tongue don't match up shoe to shoe so the laces sit higher on one, lower on the other. Also, they were laced in the box, up to the last colored lace hole at the top, which on my shoe is a light orange plastic and the laces left a dye residue over the plastic piece. Overall, decent but not great.Order up a sizeEs muy buen calzadoMost comfortable shoe- EVER!!! I’ve been wanting THIS shoe since 1999….. was shocked to find that It was still available! Highly recommend for support, comfort, style & shape….. been missing a quality shoe that most companies fail to produce anymore. Very happy & will be buying in all black as well, if I can find it!!For the last several years I have bought DC shoes as I have a taste for skate shoes versus any other type of shoe, and like the DC line, although I decided to try something different since the last 3 pairs of DC I got were all the same, just different colors of the DC logo.That being said, I would say the difference from DC to globe is about a half size up for globe, meaning 8.5 DC = 9 globe. I ordered the 8.5, and thought them uncomfortable at first but then I realized that I had the laces tight so when I loosened them up the shoes actually fit really nice. Yea duh right? Well let me explain.. These shoes have a SUPER thick tongue, which is attached to the shoe sort of making it like a thick sock for the top and around the ankle. If you get a size that just fits (toes aren't squished but not lots of extra space) you basically don't need the laces. The shoe is more like a slip on, with laces being just for show. I'm guessing that if I would have ordered the 9 I would have a little more room to play with and the laces could cinch up for a tighter fit. Regardless, I am happy with them they are very lightweight and are cool to walk on, I would imagine if I were much younger and into skateboarding like I used to be I would want these for my various skating adventures. The shoes come with 2 pair of laces for your choice of color, I got the white with black graphics so I got white and black laces.. I'm thinking maybe the other shoes may have different choices. ? One other side note I have fat flat feet so sometimes I am uncomfortable in shoes, like Nike's for example, they seem to make a lot of their shoes narrow and it takes a toll on my arches after a while. I have ordered Wide Widths in shoes before for those who make them for this reason and some shoes like these don't have that option. These however I do not have a problem with.Backcountry sends these UPS and it didn't take but 4 days to get to my house.4 stars because the quality and style of these shoes is amazing, but I would definitely, definitely recommend a whole size up. My husband said it’s so uncomfortable that he can’t even wear them any more. For reference he’s a size 11 1/2, but would need size 12 or largerI really liked the colour and design of these shoes so I bought them immediately. When they arrived they were very tight even in my correct shoe size so I had to loosen up the laces. I noticed that the tongue part of the shoes (which would normally have a bit more slack, but in this case it's kind of all one part (?)...quite odd) is the tightest and presses down on the top of your foot quite a bit which is very uncomfortable. I had to wait for a few days wearing them in for this alleviate.The material which runs along the little ridge across the top of the toes is very weak. I wore them out twice and when I got home I noticed that the material had already chipped away, and it's been deteriorating with almost every wear.To sum up, these are a really nice pair of shoes, very cool chunky design and I love the yellow colour, however they're quite a tight fit due to the slip-on design and the colour chips away very easily! For the price this is quite disappointing :(Love these trainers, been buying globe shoes for years and these are the nicest looking things I've ever had on my feet. Nice and chunky and they look and feel like they will last me for a good few years.The past few years now I’ve only bought globe trainers. There always a nice fit and last a long time. Well recommend.Arrived ahead of time.Bought as a gift for my son who says they are very good quality and comfortable. Would buy again.Tight to get on but worth the squeeze as they grip the foot and anklewould recommend
