I replaced some size 12 Vans with the same size of this shoe. They are definitely tighter than the Vans, but I did own them for ~4 years before replacing.Compared to the Vans:Length: About the sameWidth: Definitely tighter, this might be due to wear, but I've had the Hufs a while now and they are still tight.Slip-on-ability: The Hufs.. tongue, or whatever that thing is where the laces are always catches my foot when I slip them on. This makes them a slip-on shoe, followed by a reach down and pull that thing back up so its not crumpled into my foot.Its a solid shoe though. Aside from the tongue thing and the slightly narrower fit, its perfectMy first impressions about how these shoe fitted when I had first put them on, were that they were a little too tight for my comfort all around. I lost some circulation in my feet after wearing them for too long, but this was necessary because the longer I wore them, the most comfortable they became. It was only a matter of breaking them in because they were really stiff and tight on my feet where now I can wear them comfortably.Nice shoes, very low profile, though they DEFINITELY are not made for skating. I could tell the second I took them out of the box, considering they're made out of very thin canvas, and the laces are elastic.Not the most comfortable and easy to knock loose if anything catches heels. Otherwise they hold up pretty well and look decent. They just don't agree with my feet.With the leather it has a tight fit to the shoe at first, but after a 4 hour session, the leather broke in nice, giving the shoe a perfect fit.This was the first Huf shoe I purchased. it broke in quickly and it really gives the vans slip on shoe a run for its money, it has good quality suede and I like that it gives you the decision if you want to tuck in your laces or not. Overall very happy with my purchase.Shoes were probably 2 sizes undersized. I was not able to even get them on my feet. I will not order another pair of HUFs.Great fit very comfortable
