This is my first pair of Scarpa shoes, and I am fairly impressed. I've owned nice quality shoes in the past from Vasque, Teva, and Merrill, but the workmanship on these is a cut above. The sueded leather is very nice, as are the heel and toe caps. All of the seams are as clean as I've seen on any shoe - no rough edges or glue slop. The friction of the suede makes the laces a bit difficult to adjust, but they should only need to be set about once or so. The tongue labels are just plain grey, not red as the photo shows, but I don't think that's a big deal since my jeans cover them anyway. The fit is snug, but not tight, and extremely comfortable with one exception: while flexing, the top of the shoes pinch the tops of the toes. I believe it is at least partially due to the tongue bunching up towards the bottom of the laces, where it connects to the shoe. I might be able to remedy it by rerouting the laces through the tongue.Other quirks include the Vibram sole's tendency to catch and hold small pebbles, and the fact that the tongue is not connected to the sides of the shoe. This means that any and every bit of sand or trail debris is going to work its way inside. These won't replace your light hikers. As far as style goes, they are by far the best looking pair of shoes I've ever owned. They look as good on my feet as they do in the photos. Overall, I think I would buy buy them again.Great shoes, except that the tongue goes all the way down to the toe and there is no seal between the tongue and the rest of the shoe to keep gravel out of your shoes. Every time I have worn these shoes I end up taking them off a few times a day to shake out the gravel. This exact shoe with a tongue that's connected on the sides would be awesome. As is, I don't ever wear them any more. I got some Adidas Terrex shoes instead, and those are perfect for trail hiking... I ordered these shoes a few days ago and when I tried them on, I was a little surprised at really how narrow they are. Based on other reviews I ordered up 10 1/3, I think I should have ordered the 10.5. I like my shoes snug and almost tight fitting but these shoes are a little more than what I can bear. And for the price I feel that I need a 10.5. The soles are surprisingly hard and feel as though I need a better insole. Again, for the price i wasn’t expecting a piece of fabric. I’ll update after getting the bigger size. But I must say that I really like the look and several of my female friends complemented me on them.Very impressed with his shoe, from the sole to the upper, it have excellent construction and design. As others have mentioned here the full length lacing provides a wide range of adjustment. Initially my right foot felt a bit tight but seemed to be fine throughout the day, coming from climbing shoes this is normal and obviously the heritage of the shoe. From some of the other people I have discussed with about this shoe I think if you are use to a typical overly padded running shoe there will be some time required for you to adjust to a shoe like this, but as most can obviously attest here it will be much better for you and you feet in the long run (no pune intended). Most I think are obsessed with padding and cusion which is likely why runners and walkers for that matter experience more injuries today vs 20 years ago. Over padding and support protects the foot to much and subsequently allow muscles in the leg and feet to degrade over time. Just my opionion.... Highly recommend the shoe!I'm a big fan of the Zen pro primarily as a comfortable, supportive, on trail shoe. As they age I transition those into a shoe I wear during my daily work routine and replace the hikers. It's not the best system because those are beginning to break down in terms of support for correct alinement. On the other hand it's a known comfortable shoe. So I thought I'd check out the Mojitos because I like everything about the Zen except the styling for casual settings IS on the technical side. Unfortunately the Mojito is scaled back in all the other important supportive and comfort features that the Zen has. For instance there is no polymer cushion for the ball of the foot. The heal seems to be identical but that's where the cushion stops. All you get under your toes is rubber, and because of that your ball is now at least a half inch lower in relation to the heal as it compares to the Zen, which feels weired. This $144 shoe is totally crushable offering no support whatever. Aestheticly it great, if you want a casual Zen, but why does "casual" have to mean flimsy like a slipper, especially from a company who sells to people who probably apriciate the value of flexible but supportive shoes ? If you want the comfort and support on the trail your probably going to want some of that on the street. They're going back.Great shoesFür einen Wanderurlaub in Tirol waren die Schuhe perfekt. Ich habe sie eine Nummer größer bestellt. Ohne Einlaufzeit bin ich völlig ohne Blasen wieder gekommen.Tolle leichte Schuhe, absolut bequem. Good looking shoe for outdoors and casual dress, but seem to be slim fit, will need to try and stretch them a wee bit.
