Almost a year (2 months shy) of wearing these bad boys and I'm not disappointed. I see reviewers saying some crazy things and I'll say this;I work 5 days a week on a construction site in the electrical field, and everywhere else the job takes me. They are compact, have thick soles so nails cannot puncture and keep me walking on clouds. The comfort is there but if you're like me (6'4 ~220) then you need some inserts, or dont. I dont care, you do you.But for what I payed, I got my money's worth and will for at least another 8 months.I gave four stars since they ARE NOT WATER PROOF. and in florida, that's kind of important. I will either switch to a pair that is, or just find a higher topped version for more ankle support since rolling ankles can be a thing when you have a slightly rounded sole.If you need a review to tell you to buy something, use this as a guide. I beat my shoes to hell on purpose and will not review anything until I get a proper time frame of usage.Alverstone us size 13 mens, I had read a couple of reviews that said these run big, that is not what I found. They seemed fine at first, but after a few mile of walking on nearly flat terrain, my toes started to hurt, and I found that my toes were wanting to curl under to avoid the pain. Other than the length issue, they appear to be well made, and fit the rest of my feet well.Glad wide was not available. Regular was a perfect fit on my foot. Just worried about some stitches coming undone in the future. Amazon delivery was stupid. They put it in from of my gate when the instruction was clear to drop it inside the patio. Way too many sticky hands in the neighborhood. Glad I was following the delivery online.Laces slide too easily through the loops so they always start out too tight at the top where they are tied unless you hold tension when you tie them. other than that good shoesBought shoes and wore for a week to break in. Went to Utah hiking for ten days and feet felt great.
