I twisted my ankle last summer, and by relying on the other foot more, I developed plantar fasciitis. These helped sooth the pain from that and make it disappear. These shoes are size 13, 6E. The size 13 is good. The width is not a 6E - the width is more a 4E. I have been a size 13, 4E for many years and now I have to order 6E. OK, Now I know. These shoes 4E width, but described as 6E. They are excellent shoes - except for the sizing - and I would give them 5 Stars except for the size discrepancy.I typically wear Drew Tucson shoes in size 13 6E and they fit and wear wonderfully. Including this pair of shoes I have now tried three other Drew models in the same size and width and they all fit too small. One pair was even built on the same Last (the Walker II) and it was too tight in the Instep. Drew must be having some problems as their shoe sizes and fit seem to range all over the place....typical of most brands.I have been wearing Drew Shoes boots and athletic shoes for almost 10 years now, and am still amazed at how useful their website is in identifying features like DD(Double Depth) that I require for more vertical space in the toe box is. Research there, and then find the model I need on Amazon for quick availability and price, and I'm good to go! The only suggest improvement I would make to the seller would be to make the size selector true to the manufacture sizing, e.g. 6E rather than XXW.I've been wearing this shoe platform for about 3 years. I love them. They are the only shoes I've found that are immediately comfortable and last for a good long while.Forefoot comfort and stiff sole are the reasons I kept these. The heel-to-toe drop is too extreme - to the point of questioning my balance. The shoe also doesn't capture my heel adequately. Brown would be a welcomed option.Great fit with added toe depth. As with all drew shoes I have purchased there is accelerated wear of the sole and heal. I replace every 3 to 4 monthsOr for those with large or sensitive feet. Feet are encased with a tick layer of moisture wicking drilex. Shoe has two insoles for people like me who need a lot of cushioning on the soles and heels of their feet. Extra depth for big feet.
