I have only been climbing (all indoors) for about 3 months (not even, actually), so I lack the experience or even vocabulary to say much about these shoes, since this is the only pair of climbing shoes I've ever owned. In fact, my first month of climbing I just used my hiking shoes, which are small and flexible. I bought these when I started climbing on 5.10x's and needed a smaller, stronger toe.I normally wear a size 10.5 (men's) and these are 11.5. I wear them WITH socks. I do not like to wear shoes without socks, so this was deliberate. The fit is tight but not uncomfortable, and so I wear them while I belay and walk around the climbing gym. Tenaya insists that their shoes hardly stretch, if at all. I can confirm that, at least with this pair.The toe is firm, but overall the shoe is not what I would call overly aggressive. There is some bend.The straps are Velcro. This makes putting them on and taking them off very easy, but I imagine the Velcro will wear out at some point.Overall, the make of the shoe seems solid.
