These are easy to walk in - the perfect height in the heel so that nothing is going to 'rub the wrong way' and supportive both in the heel and in the ball-of-foot area. There's also enough room for my toes to move around and assist with balance, and the 'mesh' material is helpful when the heat outside is oppressive. Having said that - 5 stars for walking - but these are not 'standing' shoes. Very little arch support means that they're great for walking workouts, but not for start-and-stop type days. These are not for museum or mall type 'hurry up and stand' experiences. Great for walking - excellent for women and supportive... but not for standing around.I liked these shoes - nice looking, very light and no hot spots around toes and ankles. What I do not like is that their soles are VERY thin and bunch up every time you pull your foot out, so that you have to push them back down each time. If you wear them off a paved road or cement sidewalk - like on dirt or gravel path, you will feel every tiny stone or bark or roots. Def not for hiking of any kind. Once I replaced the soles with inserts I bought separately, they are fine but just be aware of the need to put other sole or orthotic into for bottom of foot padding.Thes shoes are great. As I have gotten older, it seems I have some issues with walking and balance. Use to walk 2 miles every day, however in the last year I have had issues with my balance. Have tried a Varity of brand of shoes and nothing seemed to work. These shoes are made for women, by women, so thought I would give them a try. I am very happy with them. Fit is good and they look good.I do a lot of hiking and find that boots are sometimes just too heavy or hot. These work perfectly as they have great arch support and are sturdy. I need toe room so was very happy to find that they come in "W". This gives me the toe room that I need when hiking yet the rest of the shoe fits snuggly at the heal. Great customer service in that I initially tried the regular size 9 and found that my toes felt a bit pinched. I returned them and the company readily replaced with 9W. No questions asked.Nice looking, too. Planning on taking them for a city trip that will involve lots of walking.I have had trouble finding a good pair of walking shoes that fit well so decided to try these. I do like the way they fit, well enough to order a second pair to have on back up. However, I really don’t like this trend of shoe manufacturers gluing the insoles in the shoes. I wear prescription orthotics for workouts so always remove the manufacturer’s insoles. The insoles in these can be removed using heat to help loosen the glue. But when I used heat to do this with a different brand shoe, it pretty much destroyed the insole so I have been reluctant to try it with these. It would be nice to keep the insole for those days when I am doing something light that doesn’t demand my orthotics. Gluing in the insole seems to be a short sighted move on the part of shoe manufacturers. I hope they do better market research in the future. I do like the fit otherwise, and the color selection. I normally wear 8.5 medium and 8.5 medium in these shoes is a good fit.These shoes are really nice, they fit fairly well. One of the shoes Had the insole glued down, but it wasn’t glued down in a way that was fully centered inside the shoe. So when you put your foot on top of it, it felt sideways.I had understood from the reviews that you could remove the bottom insoles and then put in orthotics. That is not the case.And besides that I think the shoe was good. But if I can’t take the insole out to put orthotics in, they don’t fit my needs. So I returned them.Great shoes that were comfortable right out of the box. I did not feel like they needed "breaking in." I do have narrow feet so as usual, I could not find narrows but I am able to lace tight enough to make them fit nicely. 3 miles daily on city streets and sidewalks, 5-7 days each week tends to eat up soles. Now comes the test to see how long the tread on the soles lasts.These shoes are the most comfortable walking shoes I've ever owned. I was late ordering them and I planned a walk across the Michigan Mackinaw Bridge. Without breaking them in, I wore them for my entire 5k walk, with no problems. Even though I was going uphill for half my walk, I didn't have any issues. My feet, legs and entire body felt great. And that's hard to accomplish at 69 years old. Thank you.I love these shoes - I have been wearing them for years - almost exclusively but I have ordered three pair in the last two months a size 8.5 UK and THREE times they have sent a 6.5 UK!!!!I will re-order when I can be sure they will send the size I have ordered!These are the most comfortable trainers - made especially for women - great support and they last so buy with confidence but get the correct size.These are comfortable for walking the first couple of times, but they have stayed more hard than I expected and do not mould to the feet as other brands I've had in the past have done. They look very nice on, but for me, they're not a wear every day shoe.I have been wearing Rykas for years and I was delighted to find them available here. Perfect fit as usual. They never disappoint.These fit true to size ,are good for walking in and are extremely comfortable and a lot more attractive than a lot of trainersProduct fits well, thought it was going to be too small, but once on it fit perfectly. The only negative is that they are not water resistant at all, very wet feet if walking in the rain.
