Over the years I have gone through several pairs of these shoes. Very comfortable, with a classic look. Looks good with pants, or jeans. With everyday wear, they last about 18-24 months.I am a long-time user of the Florsheim Noble. I have arch difficulty and for nearly two decades the Noble was an incredibly reliable shoe, with almost no break-in required and a footbed and sole that I could walk on for hours at a time.Then Florsheim changed the formula of the sole. Now it is an incredibly uncomfortable shoe with extra "bump" under the arch and an uncomfortable dip forward toward the toes that reminded me with every step that it was not the same Noble I had come to love. The "cushion" in the heel is also a different construction, with a much stiffer, less spongy rubber.Overall the fit was good, and the leather uppers were the same quality as the old Noble, but it is clear that someone decided to try to skimp on the quality of the sole and it is now a quite mediocre shoe. Skechers is now taking their bacon in the ultra-comfortable plain toe market.I'VE BEEN BUYING FLORSHEIM SHOES MOST OF MY LIFE, THEY ARE EXCELLENT QUALITY AND LAST VERY LONG, ESPECIALLY THESE SHOES. I AM VERY HARD ON SHOES AND I USE THEM EVERY DAY FOR WORK AND THEY TAKE THE PUNISHMENT AND DO NOT WEAR OUT AND STAY COMFORTABLE. GREAT PAIR OF SHOES. I DISCOVERED THEM IN 2000 AND HAVE BE WEARING THEM EVER SINCE.
