NEVER LET ANYONE OUT TRAIN YOU Straight from the riggers room comes our inaugural entry into the fitness footwear foray, the Core training/gym shoe. Built with the same techniques as top-line plate carriers, the upper blends lightweight mesh with reinforced synthetic overlays, all providing the ultimate grace under pressure. A wide forefoot allows foot splay under the crushing weight of your hero lift, while our Pararigger sidewall wraps provide lateral support when the prescribed event goes sideways. The undercarriage is built on the Viktos mobility bottom, engineered for maximum stability and traction, with just enough cushioning to blast out some quick cardio. In fact, the only activity the Core shoe won't do is take a knee. -Lightweight breathable mesh chassis-Parariggers sidewall-Synthetic leather overlays for durability-Mobility bottom unit for traction and stability-High volume forefoot for foot splay under load-Fitness training focused 4mm heel to toe drop-Weight 1.4lb/612g-U.S. veteran designed & developed-1-year workmanship & materials warranty * Final Clearance Item, No returns

These were and are the best shoes I have ever worn. I wore them daily for 1 year 7 months and 12 days which equals 591 days. I am 5'9" and 130 pounds wearing a size 8 shoe. I aggressively walk an average of 4 miles a day, every day, all 4 seasons - at a jogging pace. So doing some rough math, these shoes were walked in about 2,364 miles! 99% of the walking was done on pavement or concrete walkways with some training exercises and light parkour thrown in here and there. Since retiring these shoes, I have purchased 4 more pairs just to have them in case Viktos stops making them. I have never had a daily pair of shoes last this long under my walking conditions. Tough shoes.Things I like the best about these shoes are:The toe box is perfect for me, I have somewhat flat feet but skinny. The fact that they can be tied and still slipped on is critical for my footwear. The sole material lasted until retirement. The stability and lateral support is insane - best feature. Never rolled an ankle or even came close to it.They wash up very well - like back to brand new. Remove insole first and air dry over a vent. They are warm enough through cold winter months where I am located - Virginia. The looks are cool.Things I didn't like 100%:The rubber tip at the toe began to separate slightly (maybe 1mm) half way through life, but not a biggie and never got worse. The factory insole wore/flattened out in a matter of maybe 5 months and was replaced with a slightly aggressive arch supporting pair - problem solved until retirement. They do kick up water into the mesh toe area when it's very rainy or wet outside. Air dry on a vent. The pull tab on the rear of the shoe gets snagged in my pant leg so I cut them off flush - prob. solved. The fabric inside at the heel developed a hole which I probably caused by slipping them on daily...used special stick on repair material to mend and problem solved.
